Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (AD/HD) is a condition resulting in symptoms of inability to maintain attention, impulsive behaviors and/or motor restlessness. The prevalence of AD/HD in adults is thought to be around 4.4%
The most prevalent symptoms of ADHD are inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. These behaviors are typically seen early in a child’s life, often when he enters a school setting. Impulsive and hyperactive behaviors may be the most evident symptoms initially, followed by signs of inattention.

but back to the point.
we fear the unknown.
and those who have such disorders are the unknown to the rest of hte normal people ( i don't know in which category i belong so i didn't use us) and the thing is, many are ostracised because of this difference.
tutuion today, we were discussing special ed programmes (apparently there's a programme to get ACS I primary gifted boys to meet some osha or something autistic kids-which is a novel idea. not sure how either party will react though, with donno, fear on the latter's side, and if the former is immature, revulsion?) and we were touched on discrimination to such cases.
unfortunately, some do not realise that this is a disorder with no relevance to parenting skills or whatever-- instead it is a)a genetic thing b) due to increased levels of toxins etc in body as a result or the parent smoking or whatever. many think that the child is simply misbehaving, yet the child is more afraid than defiant, more confused than rebellious.
i know cases of such intolerance, close range.
a teacher at a certain school brought his/her pupils to pathlight so that they could understand their autistic classmate better. good idea?
you'ld think so.
but cause they were mentally immature, tehy would shout "send you to pathlight!" to the autistic child so as to see his reaction.
yet the autistic child is smart, i mean REALLY smart. it's like a gifting, (my theory is that tehy're so smart sometimes, that they can't interact) or, a compensation. albert enstinen was autistic, and other famous people have disabilities.
they didn't let that stop them, and overcame opposition.
maybe if we tolerated differences teh world would be a better place.
the speed of darkness was on autism. I WANT TO DO A BOOK REVIEW BUT I KINDA FORGOT.
i'm glad to say my case ie MILD((:
if not, i'ld probably be a psychotic random child, causing trouble 24/7.
late nights and irregular eating times are doing me in.
I DON'T WANNA FALL SICK!!!
